Santa Cruz Blur frame puts a custom XC build within reach
The bare Blur frame mirrors the same geometry update as every complete build this generation: longer reach, a slacker head tube, steeper seat tube, and a lower bottom bracket, proportioned by size instead of scaled up from a single reference frame. Front and rear travel lands at 120mm to match. The UDH dropout takes SRAM's Transmission-based drivetrains directly, no proprietary hanger required, and full-length internal routing keeps cable and hose runs clean no matter what gets specced onto it. It's the same chassis underneath every stock Blur build, available to whoever wants to make the component decisions themselves.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"Building this up from a bare frame, the UDH dropout meant I didn't have to hunt down a brand-specific hanger before the first ride. The geometry underneath matched every complete build I'd ridden, so nothing about the fit surprised me once the parts were on."

Santa Cruz Blur

Built To Go The Distance
Light enough to climb, tough enough to take a hit
What Makes The Blur

More Travel, No Weight Penalty
Travel increases to 120mm front and rear, up 10mm, without adding weight or bulk to the shock. It adds real capability on rough terrain without giving up climbing efficiency.

Modern XC Geometry
The new geometry lets riders carry more speed into rough descents while still climbing efficiently. Sitting further inside the bike instead of on top of it adds control right when the trail gets technical.

Reworked Suspension Platform
A reshaped leverage curve and mid-stroke support help the bike pedal better and descend harder than the outgoing Blur. It resists bounce on the way up and stays composed on the way down.

CC Carbon On Every Build
Once reserved for higher-tier builds, Santa Cruz's lightest, stiffest carbon layup is now standard across every Blur build, from base to top of the range.
Easier To Ride

Glovebox V2
In-frame storage keeps trail essentials accessible without adding bulk outside the frame. An improved latch and tighter frame contact mean it opens, closes, and stays put without a fight.

Two Bottle Mounts
The front triangle fits two full-size bottles, enough for longer rides without strapping on a hydration pack.

Accessory Mount
A top tube mount keeps CO2, plugs, and tools within reach on the frame, ready the moment you need them, not buried in a pack.

Cable Chunnels
Cables and hoses route fully inside the frame's tube-in-tube channels, staying protected and rattle-free on rough trails. It also makes maintenance easier at tune-up time.
