Women's Belts

Nylon webbing (1-inch tubular) performs best in wet or dusty conditions, while full-grain leather suits dry trail walks and urban wear. For yoga or running, an elastic blend like the Patagonia Stretch Planing Belt with about 81% recycled spandex-nylon gives comfortable, responsive stretch.

Measure your waist over the clothes you'll wear and choose a size that leaves room for movement. Size ranges run from XS (24–26 inches) to XL (36+ inches) and many belts offer adjustable slides or ratchets that give roughly 2–8 inches of additional fit.

Slim 1-inch belts are low-profile enough to sit under hip belts, while 1.5–2 inch widths distribute load better on longer days. Also check drop length and hip-belt compatibility, as models like the Black Diamond Interval Belt use low-profile webbing to work with harnesses and packs.

Roller and aluminum roller buckles make one-handed cinching the fastest and smoothest option on the trail. The Arc'teryx Conveyor Belt's aluminum roller and quick-release design lets you tension or loosen the belt silently with a single hand.

Webbing belts often feature bar-tack stitching and tensile ratings that can exceed 5,000 lbs for strong, low-weight durability. Leather benefits from occasional conditioning and avoiding prolonged moisture, while nylon or recycled polyester straps usually need only a wipe-down and to be dried after getting wet.
