Women's Sunglasses

Matching frame shape to your face is the easiest route: round frames soften square faces, square or rectangular frames balance round faces, cat-eyes suit oval faces, and aviators flatter heart-shaped faces. Try classic Ray‑Ban Aviators for a versatile teardrop look or oversized styles for a beach or urban statement.

Polarized lenses are the best choice for high-glare environments near water and on roads because they cut horizontal glare and improve contrast. Pair polarization with wrap or shield frames that offer 180-degree peripheral coverage for extra glare reduction and protection.

Many women's sunglasses accept prescriptions, with total power ranges commonly from -9 to +3 and options for single vision or progressives without visible lines. Ask about frame lens size and geometry since styles like aviators and wayfarers typically accommodate progressive lenses more easily.

For active use, look for lightweight, flexible frames in nylon or acetate and impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses for durability and comfort during movement. Wrap-style constructions add ergonomic fit and extra protection, while metal frames are better suited to casual wear rather than high-impact activities.

Pick polarized lenses when glare reduction is the priority, mirrored coatings for added reflectivity in very bright conditions, and gradient tints when you want sun protection with clearer lower vision for reading or dashboard visibility. Designer cat-eyes from Prada or Versace often feature gradient or mirrored finishes, and VLT varies by tint so choose darker tints for bright sun and lighter tints for low-light conditions.
