Playful efficiency meets modern trail capability with the Ripley—130mm of dw-link travel and confident 29in speed

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve spent long days climbing and descending on the Ripley, and it still amazes me how efficiently it pedals while staying composed on rough trails. The dw-link suspension keeps traction high on technical climbs, and the updated geometry feels calm and predictable when speeds pick up. It’s the bike I grab when I want one ride that truly does it all."

We chase long climbs, fast singletrack, and that perfect balance between efficiency and fun, and the Ripley fits seamlessly into that rhythm. Built by Ibis Cycles, the Ripley blends a lively trail feel with real all-day capability, making it just as eager on sustained climbs as it is confident on flowing descents and technical terrain.

The carbon frame and dw-link suspension deliver 130mm of efficient rear travel paired with a 140mm fork for modern trail control. Size-specific geometry and suspension tuning keep the ride balanced across all sizes, while internal frame storage keeps tools and essentials tucked neatly away. The Ripley is a true quiver-of-one trail bike built for riders who value efficiency without giving up downhill confidence.

5 Sizes

With 80% of riders between 5'5" and 6'0", Ibis introduced a new Extra-Medium (size 3) for a more precise fit. The Ripley now offers five sizes to better match rider proportions.

Built To Fly

Ibis Cycles started in 1981 when founder Scot Nicol opened a tiny workshop near Mendocino, California, with no big plan beyond building mountain bikes that were fun to ride and tough enough for the rough stuff. Today, from its home base in Santa Cruz, Ibis remains a small, rider-owned company focused on doing a few things really well: designing carbon and aluminum mountain bikes that climb efficiently, descend playfully, and feel lively every time you point them down the trail. With long-time owners and in-house engineering still deeply involved in the day-to-day, the brand stands for bikes that are light, durable, and above all, a blast to ride—whether you are racing, lapping local trails, or just chasing that next perfect corner.
