Frequently Asked Questions

• What are Powerply wood topsheets and why does Arbor use them?

Powerplys are real wood topsheets that function as a third composite layer on Arbor snowboards, offering reduced reliance on petroleum-based resins and a lighter layup. They add natural dampening and a distinctive aesthetic while contributing to the brand’s sustainability goals.
• What is the Arbor System design and how does it affect ride characteristics?

The System is Arbor’s design platform that blends rocker and camber characteristics without a traditional hybrid fusion, aiming to balance float, edge control, and responsiveness. Boards built on the System tend to offer surf-like float in softer snow while maintaining sufficient edge hold and pop for groomers and park riding.
• How does Arbor apply sustainable innovation to skateboards and apparel?

Arbor’s skateboards use eco-conscious touches like grip made from crushed recycled glass, sustainably sourced hardwoods, and recycled components where possible, while apparel lines emphasize organically grown and reclaimed cotton plus lower-impact materials like bioplastics. Across categories the brand also pursues upcycling of manufacturing byproducts and material traceability to reduce environmental footprint.
