Formula Decon rocker snowboard builds confidence

The Arbor Formula Decon is a directional twin snowboard for a resort rider still building confidence on new terrain. A Highland wood core keeps the ride light without pushing up the cost, and an extruded base trades outright speed for easier at-home tuning and repair. Biax fiberglass keeps the flex predictable underfoot rather than twitchy. The Parabolic Rocker profile blends five radii through the nose and tail, so the board releases from a turn early and stays forgiving when conditions get inconsistent.

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I hit a patch of scraped-off, wind-packed snow near the lift line and the extra heel and toe contact still bit into the ice instead of skating across it. Coming out of the last groomer run of the day, the rocker profile let me release from a turn without catching an edge I wasn't ready for."

Learn About Phantom Glide

How It Works

Pair of skis curing under the DPS Phantom Glide UV station

Applied By Backcountry Techs
Backcountry technicians treat and UV-cure every board in the shop before it leaves the warehouse, so it arrives ready to ride with no setup required.

Glide That Outlasts Wax
Wax sits on top of the base and wears off in a few days. Phantom Glide bonds into the base, so glide stays fast and consistent from cold powder to spring slush.

No More Wax Days
Phantom Glide replaces scraping, ironing, and shop visits with a quick base cleaning using the Phantom Glide Base Care Kit. The formula is made without PFAS.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which length of the Arbor Formula Decon Snowboard suits my all-mountain riding?
The Formula Decon is available in 152, 155, 158, and 161 cm. The shorter lengths favor easier maneuverability, while the longer lengths generally offer more stability; choose based on your weight, boot size, and preferred riding feel.
  • How does the System Rocker profile ride on resort terrain?
Arbor’s System Rocker uses parabolic rocker to support easier turn initiation and a forgiving feel in variable resort conditions. Grip Tech adds edge contact, while the rocker favors forgiveness over maximum edge hold.
  • Can I ride the Arbor Formula Decon switch as well as regular?
Its directional twin shape and 0-inch setback support a relatively balanced feel riding regular or switch. Medium flex, rated 5–6/10, balances turn ease with stability for progressing across resort terrain.
  • What bindings fit the Formula Decon’s mounting pattern?
The board uses a standard 2x4 mounting pattern, so pair it with 2x4-compatible snowboard bindings and compatible mounting hardware. Its waist widths range from 252 mm on the 152 to 261 mm on the 161; account for boot size to manage toe and heel overhang.
  • What construction features shape the Formula Decon’s ride and upkeep?
The Highland wood core, biax laminate, and 360° fully wrapped sidewalls form a construction aimed at predictable flex and all-mountain use. Its extruded base is suited to straightforward at-home tuning and repair.
