Kids Red' Snowboard Clothing

For wet days on the mountain, aim for 10K–20K waterproof ratings to keep moisture out while letting sweat escape. Materials like Gore-Tex or DWR-treated nylon shells give durable water resistance without sacrificing breathability.

If they’re running laps and playing hard, 100–200g insulation offers warmth without too much bulk, and synthetics like SORONA lock in heat even when wet. Burton Kids' jackets often balance that midweight fill with articulated cuts for freedom of movement.

Bibs are best for deep powder and prolonged snowfall because the higher waist and sealed seams keep snow out of the torso and hips. Patagonia Powder Town bibs are a good example of a soft yet technical fabric designed for multi-season durability.

Start with a moisture-wicking base layer to manage sweat, add a midlayer like a fleece parka for warmth, and finish with a waterproof shell for wind and wet protection. This layering system keeps heat where you want it and pairs well with breathable shells rated for resort conditions.

Youth sizing tends to run small, so size up to accommodate base layers and a midlayer; roomy cuts or athletic fits give room for movement without looking oversized. Look for features like pre-curved elbows and articulated knees to preserve mobility as kids grow.
