Girls' Board Shorts

Quick-drying plain-woven fabrics and secure closures make a big difference for swimming and surf play. Surf-inspired styles with Velcro flies or tie closures and models like Calypsa, which has an elastic waist and drawstring, keep shorts in place while a 3.5-inch inseam lets kids move freely.

Breathable, quick-dry plain-woven fabrics and double-stitched seams stand up to repeated water entry and rough play. RuffleButts Girls Board Shorts use lightweight quick-dry fabric and are available up to size 14 to fit growing, active kids.

A wide comfort waistband with an adjustable drawstring or Velcro fly is the most reliable way to prevent slipping and allow quick on-off. Many styles also include elasticized waists and tie closures and come in sizes 4-16 or up to 14/16 for tweens.

Yes. Models like the UV Skinz Girl's Board Shorts and Calypsa Girls Board Shorts provide certified UPF 50+ to help block UV rays during prolonged sun exposure. UV Skinz pairs that protection with a 3.5-inch inseam and a Velcro fly for a secure fit.

Durability comes from lightweight plain-woven fabrics that are breathable and quick-drying combined with reinforced double-stitched seams. Those construction details help shorts resist wear from sand and surf and extend their life through a summer of pool and beach use.
