Boys' Rashguards

Aim for UPF 50+ fabrics, which block about 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA for strong daytime sun protection. Models like Vilebrequin specifically meet that level for reliable coverage in and out of the water.

Check brand size charts for length and chest measurements and consider the range from toddler up to big-kid sizes (for example, 8–20 years) to avoid bagginess. A slim, stretchy fit with raglan sleeves or a crew neck will allow full arm and torso movement without riding up.

Nylon-spandex blends are common because they dry fast and keep their stretch after use, and many styles include chlorine-resistant coatings to extend pool life. Brands like Bloq UV use flatlock seams and reinforced stitching to help prevent fade and pulls.

Long-sleeve rashguards are better for high-sun-exposure activities like surfing and extended beach play, while short-sleeves work well for milder sun or more active water sports. If you plan to surf, O'Neill models are noted for reinforced seams and mobility built for paddling and waves.

One-piece styles often include zippers, full-torso coverage, and UPF 50+ sun block to protect delicate skin during long outdoor sessions. RuggedButts one-pieces pair those zipper features with quick-dry nylon-spandex and durable construction for easy on-and-off.
