Toddler Boys' Ski Pants & Bibs

Bibs extend up over the chest and have suspenders to block snow from getting between jacket and pants, making them better for kids who fall a lot or sit in snow. Snow pants secure at the waist, trap less heat, and give more freedom of movement for toddlers who run warm or play in milder conditions.

The hem should fall just above the ski boots without dragging to avoid tripping, and there should be room to layer a base layer underneath without restricting movement. Adjustable waist straps and shoulder straps help dial in fit across typical toddler sizes like 2T through 7.

Insulation on toddler styles typically ranges from about 70 to 200 grams, so lighter lofts work fine for short play in mild weather while 200-gram options hold up better for extended cold days. REI's toddler bibs, for example, use 200 grams of 70% recycled polyester insulation for added warmth on chilly outings.

Reinforced knees, Cordura-reinforced hems and inner ankles, and abrasion panels at the cuffs help garments stand up to lots of crawling and sledding. Sealed seams and grippy snow cuffs also protect against wear and keep pant hems from getting torn or soaked.

Many convertible designs include a zip-off bib top so you can switch between a full bib and waist-level snow pants as your child grows or conditions change. Models like the Akova bibs explicitly feature convertible zip-off tops plus waterproof zipper pockets and grippy snow cuffs for both configurations.
