Ergonomic 410/402 Innerbarends improve comfort and aerodynamics on long rides
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I recommend these for riders doing long trekking or commuting miles. The inward grip position takes pressure off my hands and noticeably relaxes my shoulders and neck. On straight stretches, the slightly more tucked position even feels a bit faster into the wind."
When the road stretches straight ahead and the miles begin to add up, the 410/402 Innerbarends from SQlab give us a welcome shift in position. Designed to move the grip inward, they create a more natural hand alignment that reduces strain and encourages a relaxed upper body over long distances.
Mounted in place of the clamp ring on SQlab 710 and 702 grips, these Innerbarends integrate seamlessly for a clean cockpit setup. The inward hand position redistributes pressure across the palm, easing tension in the neck and shoulders while promoting efficient power transfer through the pedals. By narrowing the arm position slightly, they also help reduce frontal area for improved aerodynamic efficiency on open roads and bike paths. Built from durable fiber composite plastic and compatible with 22.2mm handlebars, they’re a simple upgrade that delivers noticeable comfort gains for trekking and everyday riding.
