River beds can be slippery suckers that can put us in pain—or in danger—if we lose our footing. That's why we like the new Simms Flyweight Access Wet Wading Shoe. Much safer than wading in our old running shoes, each pair features Vibram outsoles with sticky grip for slick river bottoms to keep us on our feet and on the fish. The shoes' high-top construction and built-in ankle gaskets protect our ankles and seal out sand, sticks, and gravel while the flyweight construction saps less energy on long hikes in and out of our favorite waters.
