Yellow Triathlon / TT Bike Small Parts

For flat, fast courses favor deeper rims — 60mm to 90mm or a solid disc — to reduce drag and boost top-end speed. If crosswinds or handling matter, stick to mid-depth 35mm–50mm wheels for a better balance of aerodynamics and control.

Shimano Di2 systems need compatible derailleurs, shifters, and a dedicated battery, so confirm your components match the Di2 protocol before swapping. A local shop can check compatibility with your current cassette and freehub body to avoid unexpected parts swaps.

A saddle that supports your aero tuck and eases the run leg is key, and small changes to saddle height and fore‑aft positioning often make the biggest comfort difference. Use a seatpost that allows precise fore‑aft adjustment so you can fine‑tune power transfer and minimize disruption during transitions.

Carbon parts lower weight and let designers shape more aerodynamic profiles, and carbon wheelsets are a common upgrade for aluminum frames to improve speed. Models like the Cervelo P‑Series and Canyon Speedmax CF 7 Disc show how mid‑depth aero tubing and carbon components can elevate performance while retaining standard rim‑brake compatibility.

Set extensions so you can rest on the pads without overstretching, and mount shifters on the extensions so you can change gears without sitting upright. For beginners, clip‑on aero bars provide an adjustable platform to find the right extension length and bar spacing before committing to a dedicated tri setup.
