For short, smooth TTs many racers favor fast-rolling tires like the Vittoria Corsa Speed or Schwalbe Pro One TT to chase the 15–20 watt savings at ~25 mph. If puncture risk is higher, run a butyl inner tube or a reinforced casing in a 700c x 23–28mm size to trade a bit of speed for durability.

Measure your wheel diameter and check the valve hole; most tri and TT wheels use Presta valves and tubes sized to 700c x 23–28mm. Also consider tube type and pressure limits—many tubes are rated for 100–120 PSI, so match that to your tire and rim specs.

Consider an integrated aero bottle with a straw and a low-profile holder to keep hydration accessible without wrecking your aero position. Some race-ready frames, like Quintana Roo models with multi-storage, are designed to tuck bottles in behind the cockpit for cleaner airflow.

Saddle fit should be test-driven; look for a shape that stabilizes your pelvis and reduces quad/hamstring tension, especially with steeper 76–78° seat-tube geometries. Models mounted on bikes like the Canyon Speedmax CF SLX 9.0 LTD often pair carbon components for rigidity, but personal fit matters more than material.

Pack tire levers, a spare 700c x 23–28mm tube or tubeless sealant, and a small inflator—CO2 canisters are popular because they can top a tube to about 120 PSI very quickly. A lightweight mini pump is a nice backup for handling slow leaks or when CO2 isn’t practical.
