Infant Blue Tops

Start with the next size up so there's room to grow; many families pick 0-3 months instead of NB for rapid changes. Look for wide necklines or envelope necks and crotch snaps on bodysuits to avoid pulling a top over a big head during dressing.

For sensitive skin, opt for soft organic cotton like the GOTS-certified Patagonia Organic Cotton Bodysuit, which reduces irritation and holds up to frequent washing. Tagless designs and nickelfree snaps also help prevent rubbing and reactions.

Envelope necks, expandable shoulders, and crotch snaps are the easiest details for quick diaper changes. For example, Carter's Kimono Top has expandable shoulders and 100% cotton so you can slide it off or snap a bodysuit without fuss.

Choose fleece when you need extra warmth retention on chilly stroller walks, since it traps heat better than single-layer cotton. Long-sleeve bodysuits rated for about 40-60°F pair well with a lightweight fleece layer, and enzyme-washed Pima tees from Hanna Andersson add soft next-to-skin comfort.

Yes — some infant tops offer UPF 50+ sun protection, and sleep-specific tops carry flame-resistant certifications that meet U.S. standards for safe sleepwear. Also look for breathable cotton interlock or moisture-wicking blends to keep baby comfortable during naps or shaded outdoor time.
