Girls' Purple Rashguards

Long-sleeve rashguards are your best bet for high-sun days and surf practice because they offer maximum coverage and often come with UPF 50+ protection. Short sleeves or lightweight swim shirts give easier movement for casual pool play and are usually made from quick-dry nylon-spandex blends in the 6–8 oz range for breathability.

Size by age or height using the youth XS–XL charts and allow a little growth room since some performance styles run snug. Stretchy nylon-spandex fabrics and easy-stretch geometry help with mobility so picking one size up can extend wear without losing fit.

Sets that pair a long-sleeve rashguard with matching swim bottoms are ideal for all-day play because they give full coverage and stay coordinated during activity. Maaji long-sleeve sets, for example, combine vibrant prints with UPF 50+ and quick-dry nylon-spandex for comfortable, full-day wear.

UPF 50+ fabrics block over 98% of UV rays, making them a strong choice for sun-soaked beach days and extended surf sessions. Brands like O'Neill emphasize surf-ready durability, and the high-rated fabrics plus flatlock seams and sturdy stitching help garments hold up to repeated chlorine and saltwater exposure.

Zip-front rashguards and roomy crew-neck swim shirts are the simplest for kids to manage on their own because the zipper or looser neck opening reduces tugging. Also look for stretchy 6–8 oz nylon-spandex construction and flatlock seams so the garment slides on easily and resists chafing during active use.
