Step On Genesis EST Bindings deliver intuitive response and lightning-fast entry

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"After riding the Step On Genesis EST for a full season, I can confidently say they’re the most responsive Step On setup I’ve tested. The EST baseplate gives you unreal board feel, and that stiff lateral response helps me drive the board hard through carves and natural terrain. No straps, no fuss, just ride."

Every second counts when we're chasing the next line or dropping into our favorite zone. The Burton Step On Genesis EST Bindings let us click in and charge without missing a beat. Designed for powerful riders who want seamless connection and maximum comfort, these bindings combine the intuitive Step On system with the flex-enhancing performance of the EST baseplate for a ride that’s ultra-responsive and supremely dialed.

From morning groomers to deep pow and tight tree runs, we rely on the Step On Genesis EST for reliable edge-to-edge response and fatigue-reducing comfort. Its Kickback Hammock highback absorbs chatter while enhancing control, and the integrated FLAD system lets us fine-tune lean for high-speed confidence. When paired with Step On boots and a Channel board, it becomes one of the smoothest, most dialed setups in snowboarding.

Step On® FAQs

Discover everything you need to know about Step On and find answers to our most frequently asked questions.

"How do I get in?"

STEPPING ON –

It really is as easy as, "heel, toe, go". Step into the binding heel-first to engage the heel clip, then press down your toes until you hear the clicks.

"How do I get out?"

STEPPING OUT –

Getting out is even easier than getting in. Just pull the lever on the heel of the binding and twist your foot. Boom, you're out.

"Does it work in powder?"

POWDER –

Yes! Step On works great in powder. Just brush the snow out of your footbed before you step on (like you would with any binding).

"Do they work in park?"

PARK –

Tweak, press, big go, stomp hard–the best riders in the world have put it to the test. Now it's your turn.

"Are they good for beginners?"

BEGINNERS –

Step On is great for all levels of riding. Its ease of use and convenience both simplifies and streamlines the beginner's experience.

"Are they responsive?"

RESPONSE –

Some riders even say that Step Ons are more responsive than traditional bindings due to the heel-toe connections. They love to carve.

"Can I use it on any board?"

COMPATIBILITY –

Step On is compatible with all major mounting systems, which means you can use it with any board out there (not just Burton's).

"So, I don't have to sit down?"

SITTING DOWN –

That's right. Never sit down to strap in again. It's fast and easy, so you can get right to riding.

"What about ice build up?"

ICE & SNOW –

Step On has undergone countless hours of rider testing. Just scrape any ice from the footbed like you would with a traditional binding.

"Will I pop out of my bindings?"

SECURITY –

We've been doing testing and R&D on Step On since 2006. You're just as safe on Step Ons as you are in strap bindings.
