Big Agnes built the Battle Mountain 3 Tent to hold up through all of it, drawing on the same design philosophy behind the two-person Battle Mountain and scaling it up into a three-person platform capable of handling the harshest alpine conditions on earth. The golden Dominico polyester ripstop fly is no accident, woven with high-tenacity yarn that increases tear strength by 20 to 25 percent over standard ripstop and carries UV resistance that holds up season after season at elevation.

The numbers underneath the fly tell the rest of the story. A 10,000mm PU-coated nylon taffeta floor keeps groundwater and snow melt out even when conditions stay wet for days at a time, and fully sealed seams close every potential entry point for moisture. The DAC NSL pole system with H Clips and Twist Clips goes up fast and stays rigid under load, while the dual vestibules totaling 19 square feet give the team room to manage boots, cook, and store wet gear outside the sleeping space. Inside, eight pockets and an included gear loft keep the interior organized so that headlamps, gloves, and snacks actually stay findable at 3 am when you need them most. Zippered mesh canopy panels let you open the tent up for ventilation on warmer nights without compromising the structural integrity that makes the Battle Mountain 3 a legitimate four-season shelter.
