What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve ridden a lot of e-MTBs that feel like powered-up trail bikes, but this one feels purpose-built. The Sixfinity suspension stays incredibly composed under motor torque, and the EP8 delivers smooth, predictable power. Swapping to the DT Swiss HXC 1501 carbon wheels sharpens acceleration and tracking at speed—I notice quicker line changes and a more precise feel in rough sections. It’s stable when I’m pushing hard but still agile enough to place exactly where I want it."
When we open it up and let the trail come at us fast, the 160E responds with calm precision. Yeti engineered this platform around Sixfinity suspension specifically for the demands of an e-system—accounting for added weight, sustained speed, and motor-driven torque. It’s not just about going farther; it’s about staying composed when everything speeds up.
With 160mm of rear travel, Sixfinity runs 100% anti-squat at sag and 65% anti-rise to maintain traction and braking neutrality under power. The three-position adjustable leverage rate lets us fine-tune progression without affecting geometry, giving us a supported, balanced, or more progressive feel depending on terrain and preference. Shimano’s EP8 motor produces up to 85Nm of torque, paired with a 630Wh battery for consistent output over extended efforts. Dual 29in wheels maximize rollover and grip, and the DT Swiss HXC 1501 30mm carbon wheelset adds stiffness and responsiveness that we feel immediately when accelerating or carving through rough sections. Short chainstays keep handling agile, while integrated cable management supports wireless or mechanical setups cleanly and quietly.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.

Hand Built, Race Bred Since 1985
Yeti Cycles was founded in the early days of mountain biking, when the sport was still finding its identity. From the start, racing shaped everything—every frame, every innovation, every ride. Known for no-frills bikes built for core riders, Yeti quickly earned a reputation for cutting-edge, race-specific designs that pushed the boundaries of geometry, suspension, and materials. The brand’s legendary factory teams produced some of the sport’s most iconic champions, while fueling constant product innovation. Guided by the mantra “Hand Built, Race Bred,” Yeti continues to honor its racing roots while building bikes it wants to ride—fast, capable, and made for riders who live to push limits.
