From technical descents to all-day trail rides, the Specialized Traction Mountain Bike Short is built to move with us while standing up to the rigors of the ride. Developed with input from Loïc Bruni and Finn Iles, these shorts feature abrasion-resistant, four-way stretch fabric that’s both tough and breathable. At 168gsm, they’re impressively lightweight—yet ready for rough trails and rowdy laps. Laser-perforated vents add airflow, keeping us cool when the pace picks up or the temps climb.

Practical details complete the package. A curved waistband and snap closure keep the fit secure without digging in, while bonded hems cut bulk for a streamlined feel. Two side pockets and an internal mesh pocket carry tools, snacks, or a phone, and an included iron-on repair patch ensures these shorts stay trail-ready after inevitable spills. With a relaxed, casual fit, the Traction Short keeps us comfortable in and out of the saddle.
