Flight Attendant suspension arrives on the Tallboy Limited Edition

The Tallboy XX FA Limited Edition sits at the top of the Tallboy 6 lineup, pairing a wireless SRAM XX SL Eagle Transmission AXS drivetrain with an integrated Quarq power meter crank. Chris King 50th Anniversary hubs and headset are the build's other signature component. Lavender Luster paint and color-matched Maven brakes round out a look unique to this build. Santa Cruz is only bringing about 40 of these to North America, so it's one to grab while it's on the shelf.

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Flight Attendant fork and shock read the trail as I ride and firm up the compression before I load into a rock garden, not after I'm already in it. I've stopped second-guessing my own compression settings on the way to the trailhead, because the bike is already adjusting for whatever's coming next."

Heads up! We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning, and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearhead® Experts are always here to help.

Tallboy Limited Edition

Two mountain bikers descend a steep, exposed dirt trail on a rugged mountainside, navigating a sharp switchback surrounded by dense green scrub and rocky terrain

The Rarest Tallboy Yet

A collector's build, finished down to the last detail.

What Sets It Apart

Rear shock detail showing a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate with AXS wireless reservoir, mounted to the tan frame's rocker link.

Flight Attendant Suspension

RockShox Flight Attendant reads the trail and adjusts the 140mm fork and 130mm shock in real time. That means the rider always has the correct suspension setup without reaching for a lever.

Rear derailleur detail showing SRAM XX cassette and chain on a tan frame, with derailleur cage and mount visible.

XX SL Transmission

SRAM's XX SL Transmission, their lightest Eagle drivetrain, shifts wirelessly and stays precise even under full pedaling load. A built-in power meter tracks output on every ride, so training data comes standard, not as an add-on.

Chris King 50th Hubs

This build pairs Chris King's 50th anniversary hubs and headset with Santa Cruz's own Reserve 30 SL Carbon rims. It's the kind of hub upgrade riders usually buy aftermarket, already built into this one from the start.

Rear disc brake caliper detail labeled "Maven," mounted near a gold hub and cassette, with rotor and spokes visible.

One-Of-A-Kind Finish

Lavender Luster paint colors the frame, and gold-accented Chris King hubs and SRAM Maven brakes carry the theme through the build. It's a color story that will not repeat on any other Tallboy.

New VPfree Suspension

After testing 15 link iterations, Santa Cruz landed on the new four-bar platform that pedals better and descends harder than any previous Tallboy. It tracks better through rough terrain on the way up, and stays planted and controlled on the way down.

Rebuilt For More Travel

Updated geometry balances a slacker head tube angle for stability on descents with a steeper seat tube angle for power on climbs. More travel, no efficiency penalty.

Terrain Tuned Flip Chip

Two geometry settings give riders precise control over how the Tallboy feels on trail. High keeps the bike efficient on long climbs, low adds stability for technical descents.

In-frame storage keeps trail essentials accessible without adding bulk outside the frame. An improved latch and longer downtube mean more capacity and a rattle-free ride.
