Why We Like It
The dual-layer midsole stacks ZoomX foam over Cushlon 3.0. The ZoomX delivers the cushioning and rebound, while the Cushlon layer provides the density and stability that ZoomX alone can't hold on uneven trail surfaces. Nike widened the last and reworked the upper construction for this version, adding a semi-bootie construction, midfoot support wings, and a cushioned heel counter that together deliver the lockdown the shoe previously lacked. The Vibram MegaGrip outsole with Traction Lug technology handles conditions from hard-packed singletrack to wet rock and mud.
