Underneath, a Toray® 20K/20K breathable waterproof membrane keeps precipitation out through rain, snow, and wind, while reinforced insteps stand up to the abrasion that crampons and ski edges throw at a pant leg all day. An increased rise keeps things secure under a harness, and a zippered thigh pocket with a waterproof YKK zipper keeps small essentials dry and accessible without needing to stop and dig through a pack.
