HMS Strike Screw Locking Carabiner

The Edelrid HMS Strike Screw is built for belaying, alpine climbing, and mountaineering, and its HMS shape helps minimize twisting and cross-loading on a harness belay loop.

Length is about 98–100 mm, width about 67–70 mm, and gate opening is roughly 19–21 mm, making it compact for most harnesses.

It’s made from aluminum with an H‑profile for a favorable strength-to-weight ratio and a keylock nose for smooth clipping; weight varies by model at approximately 57–65 g.

Strength ratings are roughly 22–23 kN on the major axis, 7–8 kN on the minor axis, and 6–7 kN open-gate; it carries EN 12275 certification and some models have EN 362 for work at height—follow Edelrid’s instructions and inspect the carabiner regularly for wear or damage.
