Soloist Road Bike blends aero speed and low weight for everyday breakaways

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve ridden the Soloist as my do-it-all race bike, and it really hits that sweet spot between lightweight climbing efficiency and aero speed. It feels sharp and precise on descents, and the threaded T47 bottom bracket is a nice touch for long-term serviceability. If I could only have one high-performance road bike for training and racing, this would be it."

When we roll out before sunrise chasing town-line sprints or lining up for a local crit, the Soloist Road Bike from Cervélo is the one we trust to do it all. Built for riders who want a single race-ready machine, Cervélo brings back a legendary name with a modern balance of aerodynamic shaping and low overall weight. It feels quick under power, eager to surge when the pace lifts, yet composed when the road tilts skyward.

Borrowing its geometry directly from the revered R5, the Soloist delivers confident handling on technical descents and high-speed corners. The carbon frame is engineered to sit lighter than the S5 while offering more aerodynamic efficiency than the R5, creating a true one-bike quiver. A threaded BBright T47 bottom bracket enhances durability and simplifies maintenance, while compatibility with both mechanical and electronic drivetrains keeps build options open. With clearance for up to 34mm tires and fully internal cable routing, it is ready to hammer long training miles, pin on a number, and launch decisive attacks when it matters most.

Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.

The Cervélo Difference

Cervélo was founded in 1995 by engineers with a singular focus: measurable speed. From the start, the brand has taken an uncompromising, data-driven approach to bike design, defining clear performance goals, validating them through testing, and refining every detail until gains are proven.

This process has produced some of the most aerodynamically efficient, lightweight, and stiff bikes in the sport. Across road, aero road, triathlon, endurance, and track platforms, Cervélo continues to set benchmarks for performance and efficiency, trusted by professional teams and riders who demand results they can feel on the road.
