Women's Blue Rashguards

Short-sleeve or sleeveless styles work best in warm conditions because they maximize airflow for activities like beach volleyball and hot-day surfing. Many of these pieces use polyester/spandex blends that dry quickly — often in under 30 minutes — so you stay comfortable between swims.

Sizing tends to run true in brands like Patagonia and Hurley, but stretchy geometry in nylon/spandex or spandex blends can change the feel. If you plan to layer or wear a snug performance fit, size up for added mobility; size down if you want a compression hug for training swims.

Look for polyester/spandex or nylon/spandex constructions, since polyester blends are noted for durability against rashes and paddling friction. For heavy pool use, chlorine-resistant tech like the Speedo vests rated for 200+ pool hours is a good example of long-lasting protection.

Yes, hooded rashguards excel in multi-angle sun conditions and offer extra neck and head protection during long open-water sessions. Many hooded options also carry UPF ratings (commonly UPF 50+) and are made from recycled polyester/elastane for quick-dry performance.

Built-in support bras and shelf-style support are common in rashguards designed for active water sports and training swims, providing extra security during paddling or surfing. Models like the Carve Designs Cruz Rashguard pair UPF 50+ protection with recycled polyester/spandex and flatlock seams to reduce chafing.
