Orange Mountain Bike Gloves

Short-fingered gloves give maximum ventilation for summer riding and road cycling, while long-fingered models still work in warm weather and add protection for descents. Breathable mesh uppers and synthetic leather palms keep hands dry and grippy, and lightweight options like the ION Traze prioritize ventilation on long rides.

Measure your palm and try gloves with anatomical pre-shaping so fingers and palms sit wrinkle-free on the bars for precise braking and shifting. Models such as the Ergon HM2 use pre-shaped palms and elastic uppers, and sizes typically come in standard adult, kids, and adjustable options for a more exact grip.

Cold-weather gloves rely on beefier construction and reduced ventilation to retain warmth while offering protection on winter trails. Synthetic leather palms, durable uppers, and practical touches like microfiber sweat wipes help maintain control and comfort in colder conditions.

Synthetic leather palms combined with breathable mesh or elastic polyester uppers deliver solid grip and airflow on hot days. Look for flexible mesh ventilation and microfiber or foam inserts for sweat wiping to keep hands dry and responsive.

Choose pro-level or gravity-focused gloves with reinforced palms, shock-absorbing construction, and robust materials for durability on rough descents. Brands like Fox Racing offer versatile protective options, while minimalist performance gloves trade padding for lighter weight and better feedback.
