Men's Green Wetsuits

Match the suit type to the water: fullsuits work best in 55–69°F and hooded fullsuits are designed for extreme cold at 54°F and below. Springsuits and shorties are better for 66°F and higher, while Long Johns and Short Johns fit warm-water needs of 70°F and above.

For spring and cooler conditions, 3/2mm or 4/3mm neoprene is a good choice—3/2mm suits 60–69°F and 4/3mm covers 52–69°F waters. In winter or very cold water, step up to 5/4/3mm to retain warmth in the 45–51°F range.

Back-zip wetsuits typically offer more warmth and less water penetration but can be harder to pull over your head. Chest/front-zip models provide easier entry with slightly more water flow, and zipless designs maximize seal integrity by eliminating the zipper.

Wetsuits are engineered for male shapes, so start with your regular clothing size—small through extra-large—and pay attention to length and cut variations for a snug fit that minimizes flushing. A stretchy, well-cut model like the O'Neill Hyperfreak can balance mobility with a tight seal to cut down on water entry.

For long-term durability and robust construction, consider options like the Rip Curl Fusion or the performance-focused Xcel Comp+. If sustainability is important, models such as the Billabong Furnace Natural Upcycler and the Patagonia R-Series emphasize recycled materials and eco-conscious manufacturing.
