Girls' Orange Snowboard Pants & Bibs

Bibs extend to the chest and are best for deep snow or aggressive riding because they block snow entry at the waist and add mid‑body coverage. Many bibs have adjustable shoulder straps and extra protection for long slope days or frequent falls, like Kamik Winkie’s reinforced knees and snow cuffs.

Make sure there’s room in the hips and knees for layers or protective pads, and look for articulated knees for freedom of movement. Adjustable waists plus extendable hems via Velcro let the pant grow with your child while zip ankle openings make boots easy to access.

Look for waterproof/breathable fabrics in the 10K–20K range and a durable water‑repellent (DWR) finish to keep snow out while allowing moisture to escape. Higher hydrostatic head numbers and taped seams improve performance for sitting or kneeling in snow without sacrificing some breathability.

For very cold conditions choose insulated pants in the 40–120g range for warmth without too much bulk, while non‑insulated shells let you layer midlayers for variable temps. Shells also work well if your child runs warm or you want more versatility across seasons, and stretch fibers like Sorona help maintain mobility.

Reinforcements such as Cordura hems, scuff guards, and padded knees add durability where kids take the most abuse, and integrated gaiters or snow skirts prevent snow from entering boots. Models with reinforced ankles, secure waterproof zippers, and zip ankle openings—features found on some REI Co‑op and Vector styles—offer long‑lasting protection on slopes and at play.
