Girls' Gray Sandals & Water Shoes

Many girls' sandals use quick-drying synthetics and rubber soles that work great for beach days and poolside play, and some styles are lightweight at under 6 ounces per pair. Models like the Reef Stargazer add cushioned EVA footbeds and colorful patterns for comfort and easy summer style.

Generally, these styles run true to standard youth scales, but adjustable straps on Chaco and Teva let you fine-tune heel and instep security for a snug fit. If your child needs extra room, look for Keen models with wider toe boxes to accommodate growing feet.

For active water play, closed-toe water shoes provide extra protection and grip while traditional water shoes excel at swimming and splashy activities. The Keen Newport H2, for example, pairs a protective toe cap with razor-siped soles for reliable wet traction.

Look for slip-resistant rubber outsoles with 4–5mm lugs and razor-siped or puncture-resistant designs to stay secure on slick surfaces; select Keen models even carry ASTM F1677 puncture-resistance. Vented meshes and reinforced toe bumpers also help protect toes while keeping shoes light.

Most quick-dry synthetics rinse clean and air-dry quickly after use; machine-washable designs like some See Kai Run styles make deep cleaning simple. Avoid high heat when drying, and periodically rinse out salt or sand to keep straps and soles performing well.
