Highshot X Step On Wide Snowboard Boots deliver powerful response and fast, dialed fit
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I ride the Highshot X Step On boots when I want max control with zero delay. The dual BOA lets me lock in the perfect fit, and the connection to the Step On bindings is seamless. They’re stiff enough for fast, aggressive riding but still comfortable from the first run."
The Highshot X Step On Wide Snowboard Boots from Burton are built for riders who demand fast transitions, powerful energy transfer, and zero-fuss connection. Designed to work seamlessly with Burton’s Step On binding system, these boots deliver responsive all-mountain control in a design that’s ready to rip from the parking lot to the peak.
The Dual-Zone BOA Fit System allows micro-adjustable tuning for both the upper and lower zones, giving us a truly customized fit that stays secure all day. Built with a stiff flex profile for aggressive riders, the Highshot X supports deep carves, technical terrain, and full-send descents. And with Burton’s signature out-of-the-box comfort, we’re not sacrificing comfort for performance. It’s a high-speed, high-control ride that’s as responsive as it is easy to use.

Step On
Step On
Step On and go. From the moment you're ready to ride, the Step On™ boot-to-binding connection offers unprecedented convenience and performance that will have you taking on the entire mountain in no time.

Extras
Cuff Clips
To make it easy, Step On™ boots feature a cuff clip on the back of the boot. Simply slide the pant cuff (not the elastic gaiter) down the back of the boot and into the cuff clip.

Lacing
Dual Zone BOA®
Dual-Zone BOA® Fit System with Coiler™ technology features two distinct lace zones that can be independently adjusted with the twist of a dial for a custom fit in both the upper and lower portions of the boot.

Liner
Mens Imprint™ 3 Liner
Imprint 3 heat-moldable liner provides moisture management and added wicking control and features a hook-and-loop closure system for a snug fit and lightweight power panels for elevated response and support.

Inner Cuff
Focus Cuff
Boosting heel-hold by hugging that sweet spot around your ankle, the Focus Cuff rides slightly higher on your ankle for increased response.

Outsole
X Firm Vibram® Outsole
Made with Vibram® EcoStep rubber, featuring 30% recycled content, the X Firm outsole offers the high-performance grip and durability of a Vibram® outsole designed to complement the performance of the Highshot X boot.

Outsole
EST®
EST® goes beyond bindings by drawing inspiration from the surf/skate heritage of snowboarding and giving you a more direct connection to your board. By eliminating the ramp angle of your outsole, EST lowers your center of gravity, improves board feel, and creates a more surf/skate-like feel. All without sacrificing an ounce of cushioning thanks to ultra-dampening ReBounce and B3 Gel inserts.

Extras
Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil
This low-profile and lightweight underfoot shield reflects heat back to the feet, improving both warmth and comfort when faced with cold conditions.
Step On® FAQs
Discover everything you need to know about Step On and find answers to our most frequently asked questions.
"How do I get in?"
STEPPING ON –
It really is as easy as, "heel, toe, go". Step into the binding heel-first to engage the heel clip, then press down your toes until you hear the clicks.
"How do I get out?"
STEPPING OUT –
Getting out is even easier than getting in. Just pull the lever on the heel of the binding and twist your foot. Boom, you're out.
"Does it work in powder?"
POWDER –
Yes! Step On works great in powder. Just brush the snow out of your footbed before you step on (like you would with any binding).
"Do they work in park?"
PARK –
Tweak, press, big go, stomp hard–the best riders in the world have put it to the test. Now it's your turn.
"Are they good for beginners?"
BEGINNERS –
Step On is great for all levels of riding. Its ease of use and convenience both simplifies and streamlines the beginner's experience.
"Are they responsive?"
RESPONSE –
Some riders even say that Step Ons are more responsive than traditional bindings due to the heel-toe connections. They love to carve.
"Can I use it on any board?"
COMPATIBILITY –
Step On is compatible with all major mounting systems, which means you can use it with any board out there (not just Burton's).
"So, I don't have to sit down?"
SITTING DOWN –
That's right. Never sit down to strap in again. It's fast and easy, so you can get right to riding.
"What about ice build up?"
ICE & SNOW –
Step On has undergone countless hours of rider testing. Just scrape any ice from the footbed like you would with a traditional binding.
"Will I pop out of my bindings?"
SECURITY –
We've been doing testing and R&D on Step On since 2006. You're just as safe on Step Ons as you are in strap bindings.
