OneUp Components Bike

Frequently Asked Questions

• How do OneUp’s pedals differ between the Aluminum, Wave, and XC Clip models?

The Aluminum pedal is a large, grippy platform (about 114 x 104 mm) with 10 pins per side, a serviceable axle and a height spacer kit for tuning feel; the Wave pedal is a lighter, hybrid concave/convex platform (≈107 x 110 mm) with 1 Igus bushing plus three cartridge bearings for smooth engagement, and the XC Clip is an ultra‑thin SPD‑compatible clip pedal designed for low profile and extra pedal clearance. Choose Aluminum for all‑mountain grip, Wave for a balance of weight and traction, and XC Clip for riders prioritizing clearance and a tight shoe-to-pedal connection.
• What is the OneUp EDC system and why would I choose it over a traditional tool roll?

The OneUp EDC system integrates tools into on‑bike components like the EDC Stem and a compact pump, packing multiple functions (including multi‑tool bits and storage) into a low‑profile, on‑bike solution so you carry fewer loose tools. It keeps essential repairs accessible without needing a full pack, while maintaining a clean cockpit and minimal weight penalty for trail use.
• What should I consider when choosing a OneUp dropper post for trail, enduro, or e‑bike use?

Match dropper travel to your frame and riding style — shorter travel for XC/trail, longer travel for enduro/DH — and confirm seatpost diameter and remote compatibility with your frame and controls. OneUp droppers are developed and tested in Squamish with serviceability and reliability in mind, so also check service intervals and available replacement parts for long‑term maintenance.
• What materials and construction features does OneUp use to balance weight, strength, and serviceability?

OneUp uses a mix of aluminum and carbon in handlebars and stems to balance low weight and durability, with trail bars as light as ~220 g and DH/e‑bike 35 mm bars up to ~337 g depending on construction and reinforcement. Pedals feature serviceable axles/bearings (Aluminum models) or sealed bearing combos (Wave), and their modular designs prioritize easy servicing and parts replacement for long life.
