Easton

Frequently Asked Questions

• What materials and construction technologies set Easton bats and arrows apart?

Easton combines aerospace-grade composites, scandium alloys like V12 Scandium Alloy, and advanced carbon/aluminum hybrids to balance strength, weight, and feel; IMX Composite is used in bat barrels to tune flex and reduce vibration. For arrows, construction ranges from full-carbon shafts to Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) carbon/aluminum hybrids that prioritize straightness and durability.
• What is Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) and Slim Technology (ST) in Easton arrows?

Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) arrows pair a carbon outer shaft with an aluminum inner sleeve to improve straightness, penetration, and durability for target and hunting use. Slim Technology (ST) refers to Easton’s small-diameter hunting arrows designed to reduce drag and increase penetration while maintaining spine consistency.
• How does Easton tailor bats to different leagues and player levels?

Easton produces bats built to meet USSSA, USA, and BBCOR standards, with model-specific tuning of hitting zones and barrel flex to match league performance windows. Design choices like one-piece versus two-piece construction, IMX Composite barrels, and scandium alloy handles let players from youth to advanced levels select for feel, pop, and vibration control.
• What is Easton’s heritage in baseball, softball, and archery innovation?

Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Easton has a long history of introducing material and construction advances—pioneering scandium alloy and composite technologies that changed bat and arrow performance. That lineage shows up in continuous refinements to shaft straightness, barrel dynamics, and lightweight, high-strength materials across their product lines.
• How does Easton balance durability and performance across its product range?

Easton uses durable materials like aerospace-grade composites and scandium alloys, along with hybrid FMJ arrow constructions, to extend service life while preserving performance characteristics. Choices between 1-piece and 2-piece bat/shaft designs and varying wall profiles let players prioritize stiffness, sweet spot size, or energy transfer depending on skill level and playing conditions.
