Black Diamond built the Alpine Light around an 88% nylon, 12% elastane fabric with 4-way stretch and a DWR treatment that handles mountain weather without adding bulk or restricting movement. The integrated belt locks in a precise fit at the waist and eliminates the need for a separate belt on long days where comfort compounds over miles. A gusseted inseam opens up the stride on steep terrain and high steps, while cordlock adjustable hems keep the pant legs controlled in wind and clear of the ground on rough surfaces. Five pockets, including a right side zip, keep essentials accessible without disrupting the clean, movement-forward silhouette that makes these pants equally at home on a crag as they are on a summit approach.
