The Mainline MIPS Full-Face Helmet is as light as a half-shell and tougher than the trail
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I wore the Mainline MIPS on hot enduro days where I would normally reach for a half-shell just to stay cool, and the AirEvac system with 21 vents genuinely changes that calculation — it breathes better than any full-face I've used at this weight. The Koroyd and MIPS combination gives me real confidence on consequential terrain, and the multiple pad sizes made it easy to dial in a secure fit right out of the box. Note that this one runs small, so sizing up is the move."
Hot weather used to mean choosing between comfort and full-face coverage, but the Smith Mainline MIPS Full-Face Helmet takes that tradeoff off the table. Built for enduro riders and downhill racers who spend as much time sweating on the climb as sending on the descent, this helmet delivers certified downhill protection with the kind of airflow that makes it wearable all day long.
Smith engineered the Mainline MIPS around an Aerocore in-mold polycarbonate shell reinforced with Koroyd crumple zones that absorb and disperse impact energy on contact, paired with a MIPS layer that addresses the oblique and rotational forces common in real-world trail crashes. The AirEvac ventilation system drives airflow through 21 ports across the helmet, keeping head temperature regulated from the shuttle to the finish line. An adjustable visor handles sun and roost, and the fit system includes three cheek pad sizes, two crown liner sizes, and two neck roll sizes so the helmet can be tuned to the individual rather than settled for. Anti-odor pads are removable and washable for long seasons of use, and the D-ring fastener keeps the chin strap secure and lightweight. The Mainline MIPS runs small — sizing up is recommended for the best fit.
