Lightweight, walkable, and ready to explore, the Orbit Alpine Touring Boot opens new terrain
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I have been recommending the Orbit Alpine Touring Boot to skiers making the jump from resort to backcountry, and the Cabrio Hybrid construction makes the transition feel natural right away. The 100 flex is forgiving enough to build confidence without feeling mushy on the descent, and the easy step-in and improved buckle design makes transitions at the skin track a lot less intimidating for newer tourers."
Every backcountry skier starts somewhere, and the Scott Orbit Alpine Touring Boot is designed to make that first step feel completely approachable. Built as a purpose-built entry point into ski touring, it prioritizes comfort, walkability, and ease of use without cutting corners on the performance needed to actually ski the terrain you earn. The Cabrio Hybrid construction with Powerlite 2.0 technology delivers the same improved range of motion found throughout the Scott touring lineup, opening up a natural stride on the skin track that makes long approaches feel manageable from the very first outing.
The Pebax Rnew shell keeps the boot light at 1330g per boot while maintaining structure through cold temperatures, and a 100 flex index delivers a forgiving, progressive feel that helps newer tourers build their technique and confidence without fighting the equipment on the descent. Adjustable forward lean of 12 or 14 degrees lets you tune the skiing feel as your skills develop, and 60 degrees of cuff rotation supports comfortable movement on varied terrain from mellow skin tracks to steeper bootpacks. The PWR Lite Access liner with thermo and memo fit foam molds to the foot over time for improving comfort across a full season of outings, and an improved buckle system with two Ergal micro-adjustable closures, lock catches, and a power strap buckle makes getting in and out of the boot straightforward, even at cold, windy transitions. Dynafit certified tech inserts ensure compatibility across the full range of tech bindings, and full-length Vibram bi-density rubber soles grip every surface from parking lots to rocky ridgelines with equal reliability.
