Sender Free 118 Skis bring freestyle energy and big-mountain float to the deepest days
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I took the Sender Free 118s out on a storm day, and they were a blast—super floaty and stable but still quick to pivot when I needed to. They’re confidence-inspiring on big drops and playful enough to butter and slash on the way down. Definitely a powder ski that doesn’t feel like overkill when you open it up."
Who It’s For
Advanced to Expert Freeride and Freestyle Skiers:
Perfect for skiers chasing powder days, natural features, and big terrain. The Sender Free 118 is for confident riders who want a wide, surfy ski that can stomp cliffs, smear turns, and still edge when things get fast or firm.
What It’s For
Freestyle Powder and Big-Mountain Lines:
At 118mm underfoot with a Twin Rocker profile, this ski thrives in deep snow, pillow lines, and natural terrain. It floats effortlessly in powder, slashes turns with ease, and still provides enough camber underfoot for stability and controlled edging when needed.
Why We Like It
Playful Float with Big-Mountain Stability:
We like how the Sender Free 118 combines the surfy freedom of a freestyle ski with the confidence of a big-mountain charger. The poplar core keeps it damp and durable, while Diago Fiber adds strength without extra weight. Air Tip construction lightens the swing weight for tricks and quick pivots, and the long turn radius keeps things smooth at speed.

For Every Turn
Rossignol is the iconic winter sports brand. The brand works closely with the greatest champions to develop products which are high tech and intuitive, offering a fulfilling, accessible experience on snow for sharing.
Phantom Glide By DPS Skis
This ski is compatible with Phantom Glide, the long-lasting base treatment from DPS Skis. Backcountry technicians apply and UV-cure it before the skis ship, so they arrive ready to ride with no waxing needed.
How It Works
Applied By Backcountry Techs
Backcountry technicians treat and UV-cure every pair in the shop before it leaves the warehouse, so the skis arrive ready to ride with no setup required.
Glide That Outlasts Wax
Wax sits on top of the base and wears off in a few days. Phantom Glide bonds into the base, so glide stays fast and consistent from cold powder to spring slush.
No More Wax Days
Phantom Glide replaces scraping, ironing, and shop visits with a quick base cleaning using the Phantom Glide Base Care Kit. The formula is made without PFAS.
Mounted And Ready To Go
When skis, bindings, and boots are purchased together, a Gearhead Expert mounts the bindings before the order ships.
