POC constructed the Cytal Carbon around an in-mold polycarbonate exterior shell bonded to an optimized EPS liner for a combination of structural stability and low weight. The standout feature is the integrated carbon wing with a Koridion core — a structural element that improves impact force distribution across the helmet while simultaneously contributing to the aerodynamic profile tested in the wind tunnel. Wide airflow channels and front open air-entry ports drive consistent ventilation across the head during high-output efforts and hot summer rides, keeping temperature regulated from the first climb to the final descent. The temple-to-temple rear fit adjustment system spans the back of the head for a secure, comfortable hold with added ventilation at the retention points. At 250 grams in a medium, the Cytal Carbon sits among the lightest options in the performance road category.
