Shadowcat Brunch Ride climbs light, corners like it means it
The Shadowcat trail bike replaces the Mach 5.5 in Pivot's lineup, trading grams against Pivot's own Trail 429 to land just 45 grams over the featherlight Mach 4SL despite running a full 140mm of rear travel. Its Ultra-Light Hollow Core carbon frame keeps that weight down without asking the dw-link suspension to compromise, so pedaling efficiency doesn't disappear just because the number on the scale did. A 65.8 degree head tube angle paired with short 430mm chainstays keeps the ride quick into corners instead of planted and numb.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I climbed a fire road out of the saddle without feeling the extra effort a heavier trail bike demands, then pointed it into a rutted line at the bottom and the dw-link soaked up hits without going dead in the mid-stroke. That balance is what convinces me the weight isn't a compromise."
Heads up! We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning, and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearhead® Experts are always here to help.
