The Yulex natural rubber construction insulates even when fully submerged, so reaching in to release a fish doesn't mean losing warmth for the next twenty minutes. When a hatch fires and a quick fly change is more important than insulation, the finger section folds back and locks out of the way with a hook-and-loop closure. The mid-forearm extension adds coverage right where it matters most on cold-water releases, and the open palm keeps feel and grip intact whether we're rowing between runs or working a technical mend.
