Mavic Crossmax XL aluminum mountain bike wheels handle rough trail descents
The Mavic Crossmax XL 29-inch aluminum mountain bike wheel takes the tape out of tubeless setup. Mavic’s Fore technology seals the upper rim bridge, so a tubeless tire mounts without rim tape and each wheel saves 30 grams. The intact bridge also adds stiffness to the rim.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
“On rough, rocky descents, the wide rim lets me drop my tire pressure, so traction holds through the chatter. The triangular shape soaks up the heavy hits, and I stay on the line I picked.”
