Mammut's Haldigrat 30 E2 Airbag backpack runs on the Alpride E2 airbag system, an electronic setup powered by supercapacitors instead of a gas cartridge. That construction lets this avalanche airbag pack deploy at full pressure in freezing temperatures without waiting on a canister refill, and it clears airline safety rules for backcountry ski trips that involve a flight. A recycled 420D Nylon Oxford HD shell and a U CONTACT U Frame handle load transfer on the climb, while 30L of capacity carries skis, a splitboard, or snowboard gear for the way down.
