Hi-Lo Pro Hitch Extension

A hitch extension is a device that connects to your vehicle's hitch receiver to increase the length of the hitch. This is useful if your original hitch is too short for your bike rack or trailer, or if you need extra height for better clearance. Using a hitch extension can enhance your towing experience by providing the necessary space for safe and effective transport.

The flat lock hitch cam is designed to secure your hitch in place, minimizing movement and wobble while driving. This is crucial for safety, especially when carrying heavy loads like bikes or trailers. By reducing the risk of swaying, it ensures a smoother ride and protects both your vehicle and the items being towed.

A receiver is the part of your vehicle's hitch that accepts hitch extensions and other towing accessories. Typically shaped like a square tube, it allows for easy attachment and detachment of various equipment, making it versatile for different uses. Understanding how to use your receiver effectively can enhance your towing capabilities and ensure a secure fit for your bike rack or trailer.

While many bike racks can be used with a hitch extension, it's essential to check the compatibility of your specific bike rack with the extension you plan to use. Some racks may have weight limits or specific design features that could affect their performance when extended. Always refer to the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure safe and effective use.
