Vario Replacement Cartridge

The cartridge’s multi-stage system removes bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores and sediments using a 0.2–0.3 micron glass fiber membrane, and its activated carbon core reduces chemicals and improves taste and odor.

The cartridge supports dual modes: FASTER FLOW gives up to 2 liters per minute by bypassing the ceramic stage for clear water, while LONGER LIFE runs at about 1 liter per minute routing water through the ceramic pre-filter first to extend cartridge life.

This replacement cartridge is designed specifically for the Katadyn Vario Water Filter (model #8014931 or #8014932) and fits Nalgene wide-mouth bottles with the integrated bottle thread.

The ceramic pre-filter is field-cleanable (swish to remove sediment) to extend cartridge life, the activated carbon core is replaceable, but a clogged glass fiber membrane requires cartridge replacement.
