Icelantic Torrent 96 rewards a driving skiing style
The Icelantic Torrent 96 pairs a Poplar and Beech wood core with a V12 Carbon Matrix, adding custom-cut carbon bands at the tip and tail for torsional stiffness through every turn. That construction rewards a more directional, driving skiing style without punishing a skier who isn't pushing 50 miles an hour on every run. The Directional Rocker Profile keeps turn initiation smooth and predictable, locking in edge hold on hardpack while still floating through soft snow and chop when the conditions change.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I started pushing this ski harder than I normally drive a daily driver, leaning into turns at speed through chopped-up afternoon snow, and it never felt like it was asking me to back off. The edge hold stayed locked in exactly when I needed it, even skiing faster than I usually bother to."
