The Ibis Ripmo AF Deore takes a coil shock, no questions asked

Ibis redesigned the Ripmo AF's shock rate and shortened its clevis specifically so the frame runs nearly any coil shock without a workaround, a detail borrowed straight from the enduro-race HD6. That capability pairs with 150mm of dw-link rear travel and a 160mm fork built to take real abuse, all wrapped in an aluminum frame that shrugs off the rock strikes a coil setup tends to invite.

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I keep a spare 27.5-inch wheel in the shed just for days at the bike park, and swap back to the stock full 29er setup for long backcountry days where rollover speed matters more than tight-trail playfulness. The flip chip makes that swap take twenty minutes instead of a trip to the shop."

Heads up! We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning, and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearhead® Experts are always here to help.
