Race-ready Ripley SL Eagle 90 Mountain Bike blends ultralight efficiency with modern trail control
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve been impressed by how fast this bike feels everywhere. The Ripley SL Eagle 90 accelerates instantly, climbs with almost no wasted effort, and still feels composed when the trail gets rough. The dw-link suspension is incredibly efficient, and the component spec makes this a no-nonsense build for riders who want lightweight performance without jumping to a full race-only setup."
The Ripley SL Eagle 90 Mountain Bike from Ibis is built for riders who want to go fast without giving up trail confidence. Designed and manufactured in California, this lightweight carbon machine blends cross-country efficiency with modern geometry that thrives on technical singletrack and long days in the saddle.
At its core is 117mm of dw-link rear travel paired with a 130mm fork, delivering a responsive ride that pedals efficiently while staying planted over roots, rocks, and fast corners. The balanced geometry keeps climbing sharp and controlled while offering surprising stability when speeds pick up, making it equally capable for endurance rides and all-out efforts.
Thoughtful details elevate the ride, including Ibis STOW in-frame storage, clearance for modern 29in tires, and a durable SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission drivetrain. From marathon races to aggressive trail loops, the Ripley SL Eagle 90 is a refined, lightweight bike built to push pace wherever the trail leads.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.

Sungrown In California
The Ripley SL is manufactured in Ibis’ 100% solar-powered California facility, where carbon layups, tolerances, and finishes are controlled in-house. That hands-on process delivers consistent quality, a refined ride feel, and confidence baked into every frame.

117mm, Dialed DW-Link
Short travel does not mean short on capability. The 117mm dw-link suspension is tuned for efficiency under power while staying composed when the trail gets rough, giving the Ripley SL a fast, controlled feel that rewards smooth lines and hard efforts.

Race-Weight Carbon Frame
At just 5 pounds with shock, the Ripley SL frame keeps overall bike weight low without chasing fragility. The result is a lively, responsive ride that accelerates quickly and feels easy to manage on long climbs and full days in the saddle.

Dialed STOW Storage
Integrated Ibis STOW frame storage keeps tools, snacks, and essentials tucked securely inside the downtube. Two purpose-built bags reduce rattle and wasted space, helping riders leave packs behind while keeping weight centered and out of the way.

Size-Specific Fit
Modern geometry and size-specific details help the Ripley SL deliver the same balanced, intuitive ride feel across the entire size range.
- Five sizes from Small through XL
- Steeper seat tube angles on larger sizes for consistent pedaling position
- Long dropper compatibility for confident descending
- Space for two bottles inside the front triangle on most sizes

Clean, Purpose-Built Setup
Thoughtful frame details make building and maintaining the Ripley SL straightforward and reliable.
- Threaded BSA bottom bracket for quiet, serviceable builds
- Integrated upper chain guide for added security
- Compatible with mechanical or wireless shifting
- Molded frame protection in high-impact zones

Built To Fly
Ibis Cycles started in 1981 when founder Scot Nicol opened a tiny workshop near Mendocino, California, with no big plan beyond building mountain bikes that were fun to ride and tough enough for the rough stuff. Today, from its home base in Santa Cruz, Ibis remains a small, rider-owned company focused on doing a few things really well: designing carbon and aluminum mountain bikes that climb efficiently, descend playfully, and feel lively every time you point them down the trail. With long-time owners and in-house engineering still deeply involved in the day-to-day, the brand stands for bikes that are light, durable, and above all, a blast to ride—whether you are racing, lapping local trails, or just chasing that next perfect corner.
