The Free Float system features hipbelt flex panels that absorb shock across uneven terrain and rotating shoulder straps that automatically adjust as you move, so the load stays planted on your hips where it belongs instead of migrating to your shoulders by mile three.

The fit customization goes deeper than most packs at this price. The back panel adjusts to your exact torso length, and the hipbelt padding is fully customizable, so the Deva feels tailored rather than approximate. Organization is equally considered, with a front panel U-zipper that opens the main compartment wide, a SideWinder bottle holster that keeps a Nalgene reachable while moving, and a hydration sleeve that detaches entirely to become a SideKick Daypack for summit days. At 60 liters, there is enough room to do a long weekend right, and the recycled nylon construction means the pack carries less environmental weight than a standard build by about 30 percent.
