Why We Like It
The 36 SL Performance Elite uses the same 36mm stanchion chassis as FOX's all-mountain fork in a lighter, trail-optimized package, with a generatively designed arch and crown that delivers 20% more torsional stiffness than the 34 while keeping weight in check. The FLOAT Glidecore air spring suspends the air shaft on flexible O-rings to move with the fork under dynamic load, reducing friction and bind on rough terrain. FOX revised the GRIP X damper internals with updated piston design and valving for smoother oil flow, and removed firm mode to sharpen the fork's descending focus.
