We built our layering system around the Bergtagen Windshell Jacket M from Fjällräven for fast ascents, exposed scrambles, and long mountain days where conditions shift by the hour. It’s the layer we pull on without breaking stride when the air turns sharp.
The jacket is made from lightweight recycled polyamide that balances wind resistance with breathability, keeping us comfortable during sustained effort. Articulated sleeves and thumbholes support overhead movement on technical terrain, while the adjustable hood and hem seal out drafts when gusts pick up. When the wind backs off, it stows into its own zippered chest pocket, ready for the next exposed stretch.
